Project description

During Phase 1 of the Bucharest WWTP rehabilitation project, the client deemed necessary to investigate and assess the state of the primary clarifiers’ (8 pcs) inlet pipes (steel, Dn1200 mm) and primary sludge removal pipes. For this purpose, the client employed our services to assess the pipes’ deterioration extent.

Within the contract our engineers performed video inspection of the pipes as well as non-destructive testing such welds integrity and pipe wall thickness using ultrasound method. Based on the onsite performed analysis and pipe assessment per local regulations, we recommended the rehabilitation method to ensure pipes lifetime span extension and provided the client a reliable decision-making tool concerning the rehabilitation options.
